Hello all, this is lafnear joining you for the 10th Edition of Dattebayo's Feedback Forum, which offers sarcastic answers to the dumbest questions we've received, with just enough information to keep you coming back for more.
QUESTION #1: There haven't been any news posts in awhile! Are you guys dead?
ANSWER: YES, WE ARE DEAD. In fact, we killed ourselves due to receiving the following dumb questions over and over and over.
QUESTION # 2: I noticed you guys haven't released any Naruto Shippuuden for awhile. What's with the delay?
ANSWER: Really? You managed to miss the three press releases dealing with this? It was even on ANN for Christ's sake!
QUESTION #3: Are you guys going to change your name now that you dropped Shippuuden? Your name came from Naruto after all!
ANSWER: Yes, in fact, we're going to change our name to "We-Only-Sub-Naruto Subs", just to make things even more confusing.
QUESTION #4: Are you guys going to sub Dragonball Kai/FMA2? It's really important to understand I am only ASKING, not REQUESTING, 'cause I don't want to get banned!
ANSWER: Here's a thesaurus, enjoy your ban. Also, no we won't be subbing either of those shitty series. (Yes I called FMA2 shitty. Have you see the first few eps? Also, Shinsen, if you need any help with editing, I'm available! And by "if you need any help", I mean, "you desperately need some help").
QUESTION #5: It's not fair you guys dropped Naruto! I live outside of the US and can't watch on naruto.viz.com! You guys suck!
ANSWER: Again, if you had read the three press releases, you would know that users outside of the US need to watch on Crunchyroll, unless they live in Japan, France, or reportedly Switzerland. In that case, we're sorry, you have no legal way to watch Shippuuden. We're especially sorry if you live in France.
QUESTION #6: Are you guys Horrible Subs?
ANSWER: No. In case you didn't know, Horrible Subs doesn't actually fansub their projects, they just steal Crunchyroll's subs. In other words, Horrible Subs is not actually a fansub group, just a bunch of lazy pirates.
QUESTION #7: Are you guys going to sub the next Bleach movie? It's been out for awhile!
ANSWER: Listen, people. The cycle of movie releases is utterly regular. Bleach Movie 1 was release in theaters in Japan in December of 2006. It was released on DVD in August of 2007. DB subbed it ~2 days later. Bleach Movie 2 was released in theaters in Japan in December of 2007. It was released on DVD in August of 2008. It was subbed by DB ~2 days later. According to my calendar, it's April. WHY ARE SO MANY OF YOU ASKING ABOUT BLEACH MOVIE 3 IN APRIL?!?!
P.S. For those of you who are capable of extrapolating concepts and doing simple math, don't use this as an excuse to start asking us about the second Shippuuden movie. Just don't do it.
QUESTION #8: If you guys are really dead, how did you keep releasing Bleach? And how are you writing this?
ANSWER: We got better. Or maybe, zombies? In any case, the following are some of the less dumb/more amusing questions we've received in the last several months.
QUESTION #9: The official Shippuuden subs don't subtitle the songs. Could you just release the OP and ED with karaoke?
ANSWER: Yes, in fact we did. Don't say we never did anything for our fans. (Bonus points to the person who wrote in complaining it was "rude" of us to release just the OP and ED.)
QUESTION #10: Are you going to pick up a new project now that you've dropped Shippuuden?
ANSWER: Yes, as you can see, we've picked up 07-Ghost, which you can expect us to release regularly.
QUESTION #11: What happened to Denno Coil? Are you going to release any more?
ANSWER: Denno Coil is currently stalled. If any qualified people want to TL or TS it, feel free to contact us via our user friendly contact form.
QUESTION #12: Why no April Fool's troll this year? We were very disappointed!
ANSWER: We're sorry. We actually had an epic April Fool's troll planned, wherein we subbed the current episode of Naruto Shippuuden, however TV Tokyo trolled us by not airing an episode that week. So for once, DB got trolled.
